In this talk Elvira Bjorkman promises to expand your world with her own 5 secret philosophies for composing that you won’t find in any textbook or blog post. You’ll be shown step by step how to improve your compositions from Concept A to Final_v5 with examples from various renowned games in different genres like: 'Aragami', 'Angry Birds 2', 'Toca: Life', 'Hammerwatch' and 'Apex Construct'. You’ll hear stories about significant revelations on how these philosophies came about, see small movie clips from the actual composing process never shown before and get career advice on what composers of today need to think about if they want to reach the galaxy and beyond. This talk is aimed towards aspiring composers or any composer looking for new ways of thinking when creating music for games.


Attendees will learn a set of mind tools which can be thought of as lenses or philosophies that can be used when composing music for any genre and for any medium. They will hear about different self-critical lenses to look through when composing and be shown music examples, as well as a set of movie clips from the composing process unique to this talk. All knowledge and techniques learned here can immediately be used in your next upcoming soundtrack no matter what your budget, theoretical knowledge or expertise is.

This talk will be the most helpful for music composers that are at a beginner or intermediate level in their composing experience and career. However, since the talk is about philosophies any composer can use in their workflow, those who are very knowledgeable and experienced already might find this presentation enjoying as well.
