Building on last year's session on writing sex scenes in games, this talk expands beyond high-level themes and context, and focuses on the practical details of crafting meaningful and effective sex scenes in games. From camera angles to environment design, from writing erotic dialogue to applying non-linear narrative structure, this session provides narrative designers (and their teammates) with a set of visual, aural, and gameplay tools for telling stories through sexual scenes.
Complementing last year's high-level takeaways on theme, context, and teamwork, this session provides a more detailed examination of crafting emotional, erotic, and impactful sex scenes in games. Attendees will come away with practical interdisciplinary considerations for integrating sound, visual, text, and gameplay to achieve the appropriate narrative effect for erotic scenes.
