This session will start with a quick introduction to the area of Games User Research (GUR) and Experience (UX) focused on what a UR/UX professional typically does within the games industry. The rest of the session will be an open round table discussion where the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss user research and experience with the leading UR/UX professional in attendance. Potential topics of discussion will include discussion around the value of UR/UX and how to carry out, use, and interpret data coming from the area in relation to specific game design issues. This will be an interactive session, so please come with plenty of questions!
Attendees will leave the room with a clear understanding of what Games User Research/Experience is, what they can do, and where they can go, to get better at User Research/Experience, and what IGDA GUR SIG does.
