This session will introduce a procedure to create physically-realistic - and very fashionable! – curly hair, based on the TressFX algorithm.
With the use of this technique, any game developer can design the hairstyle of their dreams, and watch as it responds naturally to a character's movements or stimulation from the character's surrounding environment.
This technique allows hair to be layered, with each layer uniquely simulated and rendered to deliver a realistic look. The technique can also be combined with existing approaches to hair simulation and
rendering to produce fantastic, physically-realistic hair with low performance overhead.
