What is “UX”? Why are so many people talking about it? How does it relate to tools development? This series of microtalks will help answer all those questions, and more! In Part 2, Liza Shkirando (Massive) will tell you how the design of your tools can result in more bugs being generated, and what you can do to avoid them. Next, Eskil Steenberg (Quel Solaar) will show you how adding some simple snapping tools to an editor can drastically improve the life of the artists using it. Finally, Luz Quinonero (Rebellion) will review a variety of techniques that you can use to inform your users of new features and changes to your tools, as well as the pros and cons of each.


Attendees will learn a variety of UX techniques, as well as how they can be integrated into the tools development process. In addition, they will see how UX designers not only make users more efficient, but also how they can help tools developers to be more productive as well.
