Born in Long Beach, CA after his family skirted past the LA Riots, Brian Choi is known as "Panda," as well as other nicknames. Ever since he got his hands on a 200-game cartridge for the family NES, he's been wanting to make games. After competing against other nerds at Whitney High School, he attended the Unviersity of Southern California as the fourth wave of Interactive Media undergrads. Over the next four years, he worked on 4 student game titles, interned at Blizzard Entertainment, Reverge Labs, and freelanced with Kabam LA. After graduation, despite the resume bulletpoints, it took him two and a half years to finally find his first full time positions with inXile Entertainment as one of their 3D artists. Inbetween, he's had opportunity to work on Disneyland attractions, games like "What Remains of Edith Finch," and get his Scottish Highland Bagpipes back from his highschool. And he even found himself mowing greens at a Sammamish golf course to keep the lights on so he could keep cracking away at making it in the games industry. Panda also dances house and hiphop, caters, and leads the LA/OC chapter of Gamers For Good on his free time. Panda currently is at InXile Entertainment as a 3D Artist, the LA/OC Area Service Lead for Gamers For Good, and has been a GDC Conference Associate for 6 years.
