Anna Megill is an award-winning game writer and industry veteran with experience writing primarily for story-driven AAA games. In her 20 years of game development, Anna has worked for some of the top studios around the world, such as Ubisoft, Square Enix, Arkane, Remedy, Nintendo, and Playground Games. A longtime advocate for deep story in games, she provides resources and advice to aspiring writers through her website and books. Anna currently works at CD PROJEKT RED as the lead writer for Project Orion. Anna was Narrative Lead on CONTROL, which received multiple Game of the Year and Best Story awards in 2019 and was hailed by many critics as one of the best games ever written. Her work on Dishonored: Death of The Outsider earned a Writer's Guild of America Award nomination for Best Screenplay in 2017, and the core game for the long-running MMO Guild Wars 2 won several PC Game of the Year awards. Anna is a regular guest at game conferences around the world, where she speaks about narrative innovation, writing screenplays, emergent gameplay, story documentation, assembling digital portfolios, and networking for marginalized communities.
