Matrix Labs

Video game makers are uniquely positioned to solve problems in the Metaverse, AI, and Web3; maybe they just haven't realized it yet.

Michael Grills critically examines three top trending topics often overhyped and underutilized by both established studios as well as start-ups looking to enter the games space. In this grounded talk, he will review the pitfalls and opportunities he sees in using these new technologies, which game designers are uniquely positioned to solve by leveraging our experiences from the past.

Like the iPhone was a catalyst for the mobile industry, Web3, AI, and Metaverses could be the future of online entertainment creation and distribution. However, there are some significant usability problems to solve before players buy in.

Michael takes all of this on by focusing broadly on what we already know players want before we start making things that they have yet to consider.

He will also explain how Matrix Labs intends to be a leader in this space by putting users first and helping game-makers leverage tech for their current and future projects to create new player experiences.

Takeaway

Attendees will gain an understanding of the new opportunities in Web3, AI and Metaverses, as well as the ability to set realistic goals for what they can currently accomplish today and what to look forward to in the future as tech continues to evolve.

Intended Audience

We welcome both Web2 and Web3 game developers and those who are interested in leveraging these technologies for the future of gaming.
