Alan Wake 2 represents a highly anticipated addition to Remedy's expansive universe, marking the developer's first venture into the Survival Horror genre.

From the chilling terror experienced in Wake's surreal and foreboding alternate dimension, the Dark Place, to the captivating mystery of Saga, navigating the eerie and nostalgic primordial forests of the Pacific Northwest, the audio team held nothing back to ensure that players truly feel they are in the character's shoes. The team collaborated closely to create audio-driven systems and compelling sound design and invested in innovative technologies to craft impactful soundscapes that propel the narrative.

The speakers will take you through the approach, development, and execution of Alan Wake 2's audio design, as well as the technologies and systems employed to achieve it.
