The Animation Roundtables aim to bring all disciplines together under two common causes - achieving appealing character performances in games and how to improve the field of animation in game development. The goal of these roundtables is to genuinely connect game animators of all levels, from students and those starting out in the games industry to veteran developers and leaders, so that all attendees can benefit from a wealth of shared experiences and knowledge through an open, conversational format. The following questions are among those that will be addressed: Where is the line between aesthetics and gameplay? How can animation work better with other disciplines? What new technologies are available or coming online that can help animators excel at their jobs? What is a trick you've learned that improved your workflow? What mistakes have you made that you think others can learn from? How can we all give and take feedback better? In addition, each roundtable discussion will end with a speed round for newcomers to ask questions to help them get started (or jump-started!) in their animation careers.

Roundtable participants will walk away with a broadened perspective on animation development in games. They will leave with a newfound understanding of how to collaborate with their teammates to deliver the strongest animations possible.
