The lecture will analyze and explore multiple art successes and failures from the development of Borderlands 3. How that impacted the team, leads, and publisher, while trying to push the series forward visually, all without losing our identity and art heart will be explored . These examples will shed light into the studio's development process and overarching philosophy on art in games to further illustrate our craft.

Attendees will leave with insight into the way that Gearbox uses unique art, style, and tone to stand out from other games while maintaining a balance of time, team, budget, character, heart and the challenges of stylized art for Borderlands.
