Topic: Design

Format: Session

Vault Recording: TBD

Audience Level: All

A major challenge in designing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was to create a character who looked and felt like they belonged in the Star Wars universe. We needed a Jedi who could stand next to Luke, Rey, and Obi-Wan, and over 40 years of fandom. Then, how do you make a lightsaber feel like a lightsaber? How can you give players control over something as powerful as the Force? And how do you tap into Lucasfilm's knowledge and expertise to help create this new Jedi?

Join us in a Moscone Center conference room far, far away as Senior Designer Justin Perez shares design philosophies and details the iterative process taken by the team at Respawn throughout the development of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
