In this presentation, Aasim Zubair, Director of Environment Art at Striking Distance Studios, will discuss building a new AAA world with short deadlines and a small team for The Callisto Protocol, and how Striking Distance Studios were able to build a process that allowed them to build an enormous amount of content efficiently—without sacrificing quality.
Aasim will discuss what worked and what didn't, and why they chose to move in the directions they did through Modularity, Materials, Scan Data, and the Marketplace. There will be examples of the process, techniques, and final in-game environments.
