In this roundtable, come talk about business and legal issues facing the video games industry. The roundtable focuses discussion on key issues, including the copyright and legal landscape applicable to AI generated and AI-incorporated video games, unionization of employees at publishers and studios, the enactment of new and expanding child privacy laws that impact games and blur the line of when a child becomes an “adult” for the purposes of regulation, and how the Supreme Court’s decision is SFFA v. Harvard may impact DEI policies at video game companies.
Attendees will hear from each other about business and legal issues facing the industry in the coming year. Come prepared to participate and discuss issues you have encountered recently, and hopefully you will leave better prepared to adapt and cope with business and legal challenges in the year to come.
The roundtable is open to anyone, but will be of most use to you if you are involved in the business or legal aspects of games, even if that is only part of your role at your company or studio.
