Replicating the enigmatic nature of classic action-adventure games, TUNIC's gameplay hinges on audience collaboration to uncover its many secrets and hidden elements. With a large part of TUNIC's enjoyment relying on the presence of an existing community, how would the audience of journalists given pre-release review access be able to have the ideal experience?

Harris Foster, Senior Community Manager of Finji, breaks down the philosophy, creation, and impact of the TUNIC press-only Discord server, a space that proved to be a powerful asset in TUNIC's mystery-focused PR campaign.

Attendees will follow the TUNIC Press Discord from its creation to post-release reception, learning what differentiates a press space from a traditional fan space and the philosophies that governed the server while it was in use. Audiences will walk away with techniques used to create an online space that can positively improve game coverage which also supports those covering it.

Intended Audience

This is for community managers and public relations managers who are facilitating pre-release review coverage for any title that benefits from player collaboration. No prior experience is necessary.
