Unity3D

In this session Jadu's CEO, Asad J. Malik, makes a technical and cultural case for why mobile AR gaming is on the cusp of a paradigm shift.

Gamers are ready for an era of truly spatial games, where counterintuitive design solutions like third-person AR and async/remote multiplayer, are setting the stage for ubiquitous immersive experiences only smartphones can offer. The talk offers learnings from shipping JADU, a first-of-its-kind multiplayer AR fighting game about to start its inaugural season.

Takeaway

Attendees will learn about the opportunities presented by mobile AR gaming, and gather insights on the counterintuitive solutions that the team at Jadu AR formulated to overcome the challenges of the medium. More broadly, they will learn practical tools and mental models to create new spatial gaming experiences for mobile.

Intended Audience

This is intended for game developers and designers working on AR games, or those interested in doing so. This is also intended for business leaders and brands interested in stepping into the Augmented Reality game space.
