On any given project there is no shortage of voices adding to the creative mix. However, only one gets to call 'action'. This talk will focus on the view from the director's chair with lessons learned for working with actors, production teams, and your fellow developers.
This talk is a mix of lessons learned, anecdotes, and tips for VO and PCAP directors. Attendees will hopefully leave laden with tools to extract better performances from their actors as well as guidance on the role of a director both on set and within the production team.
This talk is targeted at those who have some prior experience directing actors for games. It's not to say that those without prior experience won't benefit from attending, just that the basics will not be explained in detail and therefore some terms and situations may be unfamiliar to those attendees.
