How do you increase community retention and loyalty? Create memorable experiences that they remember. How do you create these small, joyful, standout moments with your game community? That's where this talk comes in.

Too often, when we talk about "good" community management and engagement, it is less concrete and more of a high level idea. This talk will dive deeper into that. What moments matter, and why should we design for them in our community management strategies? We'll take a deep dive into how to make moments matter through elevation, pride, and connection, with concrete examples from games like 'Among Us', 'Boyfriend Dungeon', and more.

Game developers are great at designing experiences in games - now it's time to talk about creating ones outside of them.

Attendees will learn how to create positive, "sticky" moments with their communities outside of their games, in places like their social media channels, forums, and Discords. Armed with concrete examples from games of all kinds, these charming experiences will help increase loyalty, player retention, and long term community success.

Intended Audience

This talk is open for anyone interested in community management strategies and creating kinder, better experiences for their players.
