Mark Stuart, Design Director at Insomniac Games, discusses the importance of analytical reception to feedback—highlighting key traps that designers often fall into, while illustrating with examples from his career. This will culminate with helpful practices for properly assessing feedback and getting the most out of what you don't want to hear.


Attendees will explore the psychological effects of cognitive dissonance when faced with feedback. Mark will dive into four common forms of self-justification when faced with feedback, looking at past examples from his career though hindsight and offering practices to escape these traps.
