Understanding a player's motivation is essential to figuring out how to keep players engaged. We will share our story about how we developed an AI tool that motivates players of MARVEL Future Fight by understanding and segmenting each player's persona and tested different hypotheses for understanding what makes them churn. We then designed a recommendation system that motivates players that resulted in a significant increase in player's retention rate, in-app purchases, and engagement.


Attendees will learn ways of identifying each player's motivation and how to apply it to games to increase retention and in-game revenue. This talk will present concrete examples that can be applied to various games.
