Working as an artist in the game industry is an enticing endeavor for many students in game programs. However, actually breaking in the industry is challenging and competitive. Even before breaking into the game industry, students must be able to produce in research projects and capstone courses before they graduate. In this session, Matthew Board will discuss five steps to help game art students by integrating game art production practices into courses to foster individual student growth that eventually culminates into a cohesive student art team.
