The video game industry has always been quick to adapt to changes in hardware and absorb new simulation models to produce always more immersive experiences. However, recently, established boundaries and flows of influence have started to shift. Game technology is now used to support non-gaming endeavors and is forecast to power the next stage of the Internet. Expanding towards other media and breaking away from tight "1 vs AI" gameplay loops, new types of entertainment and communal experiences are emerging. Simultaneously, transcending "intelligent antagonism", AI is now permeating all disciplines of game production and enabling new types of interaction.
In this session, Genvid - a pioneer in cloud streaming technology and Massively Interactive Live Events (MILEs) – and partner Pipeworks Studios will discuss how these trends intertwine and will illustrate how the AI developed for "Rival Peak", the first AI-powered interactive live reality show, offers us a window into the future.
