The presentation shares key findings from the 2023 GDI research white paper and outlines how the support of a collaborative council of game developers, gaming organizations and industry decision makers was an essential strategy to move intent into action.

Attendees will leave with an understanding of key social science findings on authentic gaming representation and narratives. They will also receive guidance on how to incorporate research findings and best practices into the design and build of more inclusive games.

This presentation is for all audiences, especially anyone in the industry who interfaces or affiliates with game design. It will be of particular interest to people leading diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work in creative development and those interested in getting started.
