Gaming engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity have been the cornerstone for developers and many of the world's top games. In the world of virtual reality, these gaming engines are the very same ones that have become the cornerstone for the VR industry and allowed it to flourish.

Join Gregg Katano, SVP, of U.S. Operations, HOLOGATE as his hope is to increase the awareness among the gaming community and impress upon them that their existing proficiencies with these software platforms will seamlessly translate and can apply to virtual reality applications for non-gaming industries, including first responders, health care, defense, law enforcement, and many others. This can potentially create additional work opportunities, the ability to positively impact an industry in the enterprise sector, and will become the foundational experience as we all contribute to the development of the metaverse.

Takeaway

GDC attendees will possibly discover that they are the future architects of the metaverse.

Game developers can take their existing knowledge and skills with game development and apply them toward virtual world building, visualization, and simulations for enterprise applications and integrate them within an immersive VR environment to help others.

Intended Audience

Anyone interested in gaming, game development, or virtual reality enthusiasts interested in contributing to the development of enterprise applications or the future creation of the metaverse will benefit from this presentation.
