Narrative can be an isolated discipline for many developers. This round table is designed to allow narrative professionals from across the gaming industry to come together and share concerns, techniques, best practices and more. There will be three sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of game narrative. The first one will be professional, covering topics from getting into the industry to interaction with other disciplines. The second will be technical, focusing on best practices and techniques for creating narrative. And the final one will be conceptual, focusing on new frontiers in creating game narrative. Narrative professionals of all experience and skill levels are welcome.
Ideally attendees will take away new concepts and ideas relating to game narrative, whether they be technical best practices for writing or conceptual ones for incorporating into larger designs.
The intended audience for these roundtables is game industry narrative professionals, whether they be writers, narrative designers, narrative directors or any other role. They are also open to any developers with an interest in narrative and in working with narrative specialists.
