Finding a character's iconic voice can be a difficult thing for writers to achieve, and often is defined later in a project, or is solidified by a voice actor. In this talk, you'll hear from a game writer and voice actor about how you can use your own voices to discover what makes your characters unique, and how writers' rooms can accelerate character development when read-throughs are performed, rather than read. You'll see examples of how performance has transformed written characters, and come away with strategies to jump into bringing vocal performance into your writers' rooms (or any other rooms!).

Attendees will better understand the link between vocal performance and written character voice, and use their own knowledge and experience to create a foundation for exploring what makes a character iconic.
