This talk will focus on exploring unique and innovative mechanics in the Table-Top RPG world and provide jumping off points for designers to implement and experiment with them in their own games.
It will introduce the audience to the wide and strange world of Table-Top RPGS.
It will then discuss all the obvious and secret ways it has influenced the goals and designs of Digital Games. For example how CRPGs work to capture the experience of having a DM.
Then we will outline the experimental nature of the talk, looking for new innovations and adaptations that we can transport to digital game design.
Attendees will be given a tour of effective and unique mechanics from Table Top RPGs that can be adapted to digital games. They will also be presented with methods for prototyping and implementing each design.
