Games for Health have been multiplying in number and importance in the last few years, with games and XR treatments being cleared by the FDA. Games are treating PTSD, Addiction, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression and many other issues. This session, hosted by the Games for Heath SIG, will cover the wide range of types of games (treatment, rehabilitation, caregiver training, diagnosis, and more) and the varied opportunities they present for game developers of all disciplines and career stages.
The roundtable is an opportunity to learn about the range of games applied to healthcare and discuss the current concerns and hopes of the community of game developers in this rapidly growing segment.
Anyone currently involved with games that are focused on healthcare or developers curious about how they might participate in this field.
