Flanders Investment & Trade

Through select investments in a unique combination of support structures and intensive stakeholder collaboration, the Flanders region of Belgium has established an ecosystem providing potential game developers with world-class education, specific creative and business coaching, public funding for video game prototyping, production and promotion, a tax incentive stimulating private investments and an array of international showcasing and pitching opportunities.

Benjamin Dalle, Flemish Minister for Media, will outline the key elements of this ecosystem and discuss their importance in a cozy fireside chat with these industry veterans: David Verbruggen (Flemish game association), Rik Leenknegt (HOWEST DAE and Flanders Game Hub) and a local game developer, moderated by Jason Della Rocca (game cluster expert).

Takeaway

A better understanding of the Flemish ecosystem for video games. This structure includes education, access to public and private financial support, creative and business coaching.

Intended Audience

Investors and international game companies keen on investing in a vibrant and upcoming video game ecosystem, game developers interested in starting their own development company or joining a startup development company, game companies unafraid to set up shop in the heart of Europe, students interested in pursuing a higher video game education.
