Login and registration is pretty simple to build, but what happens when you have millions of users trying to log in at the same time? How do you need to architect your system to support this kind of load? What kind of systems testing do you need to perform to ensure you won't have a very bad launch day?
In this session, Brian Pontarelli, CTO at FusionAuth, will explain how he approaches scaling, reliability, and performance assessment during peak loads. Brian will walk through how to prepare with load testing tips, different scaling techniques, and a dive into the typical causes of request latency. He'll also cover the challenges unique to authentication, including the tradeoff between preventing credential stuffing attacks and a smooth, performant, single-user login experience.
Attendees can expect to walk away from this session with a better understanding on how to scale their system for high traffic events.
This session is intended for game programmers and technical folks that are concerned about the uptime and reliability of their infrastructure. A general understanding of cloud computing, infrastructure, and operations is helpful but not required.
