Focusing on the game's narrative delivery, this talk dives into 'method UI' - interface elements that never break character - and how breaking user interface rules helped No Code tell an immersive relatable story in an unrelatable situation.
Attendees will see some experimental and rule-breaking examples on how to use the interface to emphasize your narrative, to contribute to the world you are building, and to pull the player deeper into character by engaging them in ways that defy traditional interface development.
This talk is intended for anyone with an interest in narrative delivery methods, user interface design, and world building outside of the 3D environment itself. No prerequisite knowledge is necessary for this session.
