Surpassingly, you can still find new business partners and sign profitable regional distribution deals, and thanks to digital-only events - it is cheaper than ever! Obviously, there is a new challenge to take - it requires a much different approach. Marcin Makaj - an indie game developer, a lawyer, and an economist in one person shares an updated version of his highly acclaimed lecture from Game Developers Conference 2020 - "Regional Distribution Deals: A Rescue for Indie Game Developers". Learn how to use the opportunities of digital-only events, when you should rethink your former negotiation tactics, and why online meetings have to be tailored differently.
Attendees can gain an additional knowledge of signing regional distribution deals on digital-only events. This includes a new forms of communication, a different approach to acquiring business partners, and new negotiation tactics that would work better on online meetings.
The presentation is addressed to indie game developers, who struggle to make a decent profit, and want to learn different ways on monetizing their games - but in the same time - are limited by the COVID-19 pandemic, and cannot participate in classic gaming events.
