At GDC 2022, Unity will unveil a new sample game created and developed internally to showcase the power of Unity 2021 LTS and other Unity solutions working together. Unity programmers, artists, and game designers are building this game to put Unity’s creation tools to the test and better understand the needs of creators like you. Join this session to get the first look at Unity’s newest sample game, spark your own creative ambitions, and discover how to apply its learnings to your own projects.
Attendees will be introduced to Unity’s newest sample game and learn about the development team’s challenges and their solutions. Topics addressed will include the process of developing and implementing a character (DCC tools, Character Controller, physics, Shader Graph) and worldbuilding (URP, lighting, water system).
This session addresses intermediate to advanced users who have experience using Unity as a professional tool. No specific prerequisite knowledge is required, but an understanding of how Unity is used by professional teams and the challenges they face will increase its impact.
