Is it just me or do other women also get cut off in meetings a lot...? Is it just me or do more women feel like they are often overlooked for promotions? Is it just me or do other women also feel like their emotional work for their teams is valued less? These and many other questions are prevalent to the experience of many women in games, & in this open discussion roundtable, we want to provide a space where women can share their stories, seek and spread solidarity and maybe offer tips and support for women in situations similar as their own.

Come and join this roundtable hosted and moderated by the IGDA Women in Games SIG to enter a supportive and inclusive space of predominantly women in the games industry to share your experiences and grievances of working in our field while offering support and solidarity to other folks in the room sharing theirs. You will be able to speak and share in a safe and moderated environment, receive support and tips for how to navigate workplace and industry situations from your peers and hear stories from others and hopefully feel less alone in situations that can be difficult to navigate.

Intended Audience

Explicitly women working in the game industry or adjacent fields. Non-binary folks, trans folks and other genders are welcome and explicitly invited to this session, but we want to note that the experiences shared will likely be predominantly reflect the experience of women in the field.
