In this session, Tenghao Wang, Senior Technical Artist at Santa Monica Studio, gives a detailed breakdown of how to achieve a high level of fidelity skin deformation with joint based rigging in the new God of War.

He will present a systematic joint-based rig to fit the curve fiber structure of the muscle to achieve volume preservation, as well as discuss the implementation details of a new dynamic bone technique that can be used to approximate muscle, fat, and skin jiggle effect. In addition, Tenghao will showcase how this technique can enhance the impact feel of combat,
