There are lots of people and companies now working in the field of applied games for education and learning. This roundtable will discuss the rapid evolution of the field. Many factors are impacting learning and education games. Given that other SIGs exist in this topic area, this one may need to specialize. We can discuss a narrower focus (and title) for this group see if we can find new leadership to propose new initiatives and direction. One option might be to focus on how to create and run a business that commercializes games for learning.

Takeaway

This roundtable will focus on designing, developing, deploying, and marketing games for learning. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of what games for learning looks like and what it will look like in the future.
