What’s it like to run a live service game? What’s it like to run five? This talk will focus on learnings and techniques in the area of operational health for maintaining a healthy live experience for players. It will look at metrics as well as organizational changes that Riot has gone through as more games are added to the portfolio, and some of the situations that led to them. From the perspective of a central production team, it will also consider how producers can best support new R&D titles, particularly with how tight developer time can be prior to launch - and how we can set them up for success for the months and years afterwards.
Attendees will get a perspective on the tradeoffs between a central vs. game specific split for live production, and considerations of how to develop an operational health report that fits your game.
Producers and operational health owners for GaaS products, particularly those either on their first game, or those looking to expand into additional live titles after a first game.
