In order to raise the quality bar for 'Just Cause 4', it was necessary to completely rethink and revamp existing in-house animation workflows and tools. This included building further on the groundwork of the pipeline created during production of JC3 for the gameplay animation team as well as building an entirely new pipeline for cinematics creation in order to support a stronger push on narrative. This resulted in a robust set of automated workflows and improved tools that increased efficiency, speed, and overall quality in output of content. This talk will go into depth on how the technical animation team worked on maximizing workflows and developing a stronger foundation for creating both higher quality content and improved cinematics for JC4.
