In this tech talk, Epic Games will take you on a tour of the MetaHuman Framework and showcase what's possible when you combine the power of machine learning with digital humans.

First, Raffaele Fragapane will provide a whirlwind tour of the component parts of MetaHuman and show what lies beyond MetaHuman Creator, with technical notes and best practices for MetaHuman Assets, the DNACalib library, and the MetaHuman for Unreal plugin.

Then, Matt Stoneham will demonstrate how Unreal Engine machine learning technology can be used to create a high-fidelity next-generation game character with deformations driven by full muscle, flesh, and cloth simulation.

Matt will cover the end-to-end process from creating your training data to setting up your network parameters and evaluating the result. You'll leave with an understanding of how to use ML Deformer to achieve amazing deformation on your own real-time characters, whatever your creative goals.
