The games industry is increasingly diverse and most teams are working hybrid or fully remote. How can producers leverage the best from everyone on the team? How do they ensure all diverse voices are heard, and that different opinions and concerns are shared? How can producers ensure everyone is aligned on the mission if we all have different perspectives on what it is, and how to get there—and how can producers develop psychological safety in teams where everyone can thrive?

Cultural Intelligence, CQ, provides foundational skills needed to work and relate with those different from ourselves: Cultural Values profiles provide a descriptive tool to talk about culture differences in a non-threatening and inclusive manner.

In this session, cross-cultural consultant and games industry veteran Tina Merry will explore these topics and more related to navigating cultural diversity and how to use a strategic approach for increased effectiveness and inclusion in all multicultural interactions.

Takeaway

Attendees will become force multipliers for cultural inclusion, with an increased personal awareness of what it requires to work effectively across diverse cultures plus how to leverage cultural differences to foster idea sharing, trust, and innovation.

Intended Audience

This is for producers, development and project managers, team leads, or anyone working within a highly diverse team context.
