In 2018 Google's real world gaming platform helped transform the mobile gaming industry, enabling developers to build immersive, interactive games based on in augmented reality. Learn how Mixi, creator of 'MonsterStrike', added a location-based mode to their game, allowing players to collect loot at "monstops' throughout the real world and how Next Games, creator of 'The Walking Dead: Our World', used Google Maps Platform to design gameplay that takes full advantage of their players' real world context. This talk will share insights from their first wave of real world game launches and showcase what they're launching in 2019 to help push the limits of this rapidly emerging genre and enable gamers to interact with the real world in ways never possible before.
