Women In Game Audio Round Tables is a tradition in the Audio track where seasoned women alongside their junior colleagues offer insight and discuss topics ranging from skill sets in sound design, audio and composition, to all career questions. The RT will focus on early-career skills, leveraging a "break," career sustainability, sound design (skills, tools, collaboration), interfacing with various clients, and being in-house vs. freelance. The presenters will answer all questions by the attendees, and will give invaluable career tips and insight to women and marginalized genders helping them cultivate thriving careers in game audio, both in-house and as freelancers.
All Roundtable sessions are first come, first serve. Adding a Roundtable session to your schedule doesn't guarantee you a spot in the session.
Open to attendees of all levels, the round tables' objective is to give practical career advice and guidance to women and marginalized genders, to frame the conversations in empowering ways, and to give the attendees an opportunity to ask questions.
Sound designers, composers and audio professionals of all levels, with focus on emerging professionals. All are welcome to attend.
