In this panel, we will discuss the various challenges and best practices that come with making games about sex, intimacy, and romance. Some of our panelists will focus on deep technical dives of useful mechanics in this up and coming genre of games. Others will discuss how and why they create these types of games even when they know the different challenges they'll face. From dialogue to code, each of our panelists will give a short overview of their area of expertise.
Attendees will leave questioning their preconceived notions of games portraying sex or romance. With a newfound understanding of the complexities of these games, attendees will come away with enough knowledge to begin exploring these themes on their own in a thoughtful manner.
Anyone with an open mind and an interest in this topic may attend. No prerequisite knowledge is necessary.
