Video games are great, but they’re a whole lot better when you can play them with friends, remotely. So, what goes into creating a multiplayer game, or any game for that matter? In this session, we’re going to learn modern data management techniques for games, and introduce Phaser, the HTML5 and JavaScript game development framework, and how this works MongoDB for data storage and synchronization. More specifically, we’re going to see how simple it is to create a game where the data is transferred in near real-time between clients and database to give a multiplayer experience.
