In this session, walk through how the game services team at Mediatonic prepared for launch, the challenges encountered with this sudden influx of users, and describe improvements made over the last few years to scale to millions of players.

Takeaway

We’ll provide details of our game services architecture, design philosophies and deployment workflows, examining the bottlenecks we encountered during load scaling, and describing the solutions that we deployed. We will show how to identify bottlenecks in a service architecture before or during a launch, and provide techniques that can be used to scale service workloads to meet a sudden surge in user demand.

Intended Audience
