Using survey data from over 1.75 million gamers collected over the past decade from the Gamer Motivation Profile, this data-driven talk covers a variety of long-term trends and findings within this dataset such as how motivations have changed over time, how the Gladiator and Gardener gamer types are "odd" and how they partially work outside the framework of gaming motivations, and the growth and unique motivation profile of non-binary gamers.
