Learn the science of more effectively managing transitions, especially during a crisis (or three). Changes happen quickly in the world, but transitions happen more slowly inside people. This session will help game devs lead themselves and others through those transitions, to make the most of change.
This session will explore: All three phases of transitions, even though most of us only are aware of two of them; Why optimism during a crisis is essential but risky; Practical tools and techniques that will help you help your people boost their well-being, so they can be as innovative and productive as possible.
Be ready for the next big change or crisis; come learn and apply the science that can help you turn crisis into opportunity.
Attendees will learn the difference between change and transition, and how to handle transitions effectively. They will learn all three stages of transition, even though most of us only acknowledge two of them, and multiple concrete actions to improve how big changes are handled at an organization.
This is for anyone experiencing change in their team or studio, but this session will be especially helpful to those leading others in game development.
