In "Audio innovation and representation in Far Cry 6" lecture, Eduardo Vaisman will present to the audience the insight about how technical innovation in the brand and careful audio production choices were used to support the narrative of the game and proper Latino culture representation. How the world of Yara was brought to life through voices, music ambiences and sound effects, the artistic choices and technical execution of main audio features will be presented in detail, showing how from conception and pre-production these elements were considered and planned focusing in representing the Latino-Caribbean environment and characters to support the game's guerilla fantasy.
The attendees will gain a fresh perspective on creative and technical aspects of audio systems, features and assets production to empower narrative driven AAA games and to support world building through careful cultural representation.
The intended audience are game audio professionals (all levels and production size), narrative designers and all developers interested in the subject of representation in games.
