In spite of a global pandemic, the Assassin's Creed Valhalla team managed to pull through and ship the game – as it was conceived- on time for the the Holidays. In this session, the producer of the game will do a post-mortem of the project, going through the different phases of production, but focusing on the decisions that made shipping the game a reality, from the perspective of the helm of the ship.
From high-level design decisions, production processes and empowering your team, the pandemic thought us many lessons. This session will share the best practices that came out of it.
This presentation should be good for a broad audience, anyone interested in Assassin's Creed Valhalla or the production realities of shipping under extreme circumstances. As the tone is close to a post-mortem, highlighting best practices along the way, many people could have (hopefully) interesting takeaways.
