This session explains how automated testing helped improve the quality of Mortal Kombat 11 by providing QA users with a flexible framework to build tests using test modules created by programmers and how it increased the test coverage exponentially. The session also discuss about some unique testing challenges that the automation tool helped to solve during the development of MK11 and how these techniques could benefit your game.
Attendees of this session will learn about an automated testing framework that enables non-technical users to create automated test whilst technical users create the building blocks. They will also learn about how this testing framework helped the NetherRealm team during the development of Mortal Kombat 11.
This session would appeal to programmers, QA and designers who are interested to learn about how they could improve productivity and game's quality by getting involved in automated testing. A basic understanding of test automation is required for attending this session. Python scripting knowledge is advantageous but not necessary.
